"Huggbees" is an episode of the TV series Teen Titans Go! which is a crossover with Freakazoid! Originally airing November 14, 2020, it marked the character's first new appearance in animation in over twenty-three years. It also marked the final appearances of Edward Asner as Sgt. Mike Cosgrove and David Warner as the Lobe. It was also the final performance of David Warner's career before his passing.

This was the 297th episode of Teen Titans Go! overall, and the 36th episode of the sixth season. It was written by Brady Klosterman and directed by Kevin McIntyre.

Synopsis[]

The Titans get a Crime Alert from Warner Bros. Animation in Burbank. Upon arriving, they find that their archnemesis the Brain (no relation) has just unleashed the greatest cartoon mastermind the 1990s had to offer: the Lobe! The Titans thus decide they need to team up with a 1990s hero. After a few rejected options, they decide to release Freakazoid from a film canister moments before it is incinerated, although Robin remains opposed due to Freakazoid's inability to stick to the story. After clearing the crossover with Steven Spielberg, the Titans and the Freak formulate a plan and attack Lobe and Brain's hideout. Freakazoid pushes a "cool button" and gets the Titans stuck in a death trap, and is repeatedly distracted from saving them by Cosgrove, who calls Freakazoid's antiquated cell phone. He finally saves them, and they confront the villains. After Freakazoid and Lobe have a touching reunion, Lobe reveals their evil plot: the Transmongrelfier, which will turn the citizens of Jump City into dog people, thus creating the most obedient army the world has ever seen. After Lobe transforms Joe Leahy into a dog-headed man, the Transmongrelfier is destroyed when it turns out Lobe set the self-destruct password to "Huggbees."
