- Del Carmen was a storyboard artist and character designer on Batman: The Animated Series, and was one of the Batman crew members who remained attached to Freakazoid! after Bruce Timm abandoned the project. Apparently, Del Carmen has called Freakazoid! the worst experience of his professional life.[1] This would explain why, every time Del Carmen is caricatured on the show, he is drawn looking incredibly disgruntled. He left Warner Bros. Animation after the first season of Freakazoid!
